In a striking development two weeks post the filing of a federal anti-trust lawsuit against competitor Fanatics, Panini America has had its license revoked by the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) to produce NFL trading cards.

Numerous reports indicate that the NFLPA has notified player agents of the termination of its contract with Panini, which granted it the rights to utilize player names and likenesses for trading cards.
