Best Steps for Submitting Your Sports Cards to PSA for Grading

Grading your beloved sports cards with PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) is quite the adventure! Remember, there are multiple ways to do this, so I strongly recommend checking out PSA’s official website or giving them a shout for the freshest info. But this is my personal way of doing things; here’s the treasure map to grade your cards through PSA:

  1. Prepare Your Cards:
    • Your cards are the treasure, so make sure they’re in top-notch condition. I wouldn’t grade any cards with wrinkles, stains, or tears!
    • Get ’em cleaned up using a soft, lint-free cloth. I do know that some people use specialized card-cleaning tools. I’d be careful with that!
    • Use Penny Selves
    • Use Card Saver 1’s
  2. Create Your PSA Account:
    • Head over to PSA’s den and create your account if you haven’t already.
    • Don’t forget to pick the service level and turnaround time that suits your fancy.
  3. Fill Out the Submission Forms:
    • Become a cartographer and fill out the submission forms accurately and clearly. Leave no stone unturned – provide all the necessary details like your contact info and card specifics (set name, card number, player, and so on).
  4. Pack Your Loot:
    • Safely package your sports cards between cardboard cutouts.
    • Use bubble wrap and packing peanuts material to ensure your cards reach PSA safely.
  5. Ship Your Loot:
    • Ship your package to PSA using a trusted shipping method (See PSA’s website for details). Make sure it’s got tracking and insurance to protect your treasure on its journey.
  6. The Waiting Game:
    • Once your submission reaches PSA, they’ll embark on their grading adventure. The time it takes depends on the service level you picked.
  7. Unveil the Graded Loot:
    • When the adventure’s over, you’ll receive your graded cards.
    • Each card gets a grade based on its condition and authenticity, ranging from 1 (not-so-great) to 10 (priceless Loot).
  8. Loot Management:
    • Keep your graded cards safe in holders or display them like the prized possessions they are.
    • You can choose to keep the loot in your collection, trade them, or sell them based on their graded condition and the demand in the market.

Just remember, card grading can be unpredictable, so brace yourself for possible delays due to the high number of submissions. Keep an eye on PSA’s updates to stay in the loop with any changes or new discoveries in the world of sports card grading in 2023!
